We have made it to Spooky Games Month! \u00a0Wall to wall horror themed games were happening all month for us at the Traverse City Board Gamers. \u00a0We got to play a lot of games that don’t get to see the table as much as I would like and a few new ones too that hadn’t been played yet. \u00a0We also were able to bust out the upgrade for Betrayal at House on the Hill called Widow’s Walk. \u00a0Considering that the game hasn’t seen an expansion yet, this was a pretty big deal since the game gets a lot of play regardless of the month. \u00a0We also saw some new faces and also some faces we don’t see enough of at the table that I was pleased to see. We were able to see a new gamer come into this world on the final day of the month. Unfortunately we also saw a member move on from our town for new opportunities down state. I know it won’t be the last time we will see him at game nights but we will miss the frequency. \u00a0It’s sometimes hard to put things into perspective just how much things have grown since this groups conception.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The stats this month are cut down a bit more for purposes of time. \u00a0I wanted to be able to put this out in a more timely manner. \u00a0We are doing a massive overhaul to how we do statistics so what will be posted will hopefully be more robust. \u00a0I’m hoping that we will be able to post statistics on the games themselves and not just the players. \u00a0This is still being worked on and will take some time to input the data needed to get this kind of information. \u00a0Hopefully we will see a little of whats to come in next months installment.<\/p>\n

Our game nights will soon be the victim to day light savings time. \u00a0Unfortunately, we are in a brewery that doesn’t have the greatest of lighting so we will definitely need to find some kind of solution soon. \u00a0I have been looking but have yet to find a functional yet simple fix for our lighting woes. \u00a0I think a trip to a home improvement store will have what we are looking for. \u00a0This may be a bit of a hassle hauling in all the supplies every week but one that needs to happen if we are to continue at Right Brain Brewery.<\/p>\n

I’m excited as next month we have lots of new games that were put off in light of our Spooky Game Nights and now is time to break them out. \u00a0We also have our annual Ticket to Ride Tournament on November 19th at Right Brain Brewery starting at 5pm. \u00a0Prizes are set and the boards are engines are prepped.<\/p>\n
