Summer is finally at a close and fall is setting in here in Traverse City. \u00a0The start time of game night will definitely be moving up as the days will be getting shorter. \u00a0We had a busy month at the table which also included a little bit of traveling. \u00a0We went to our “local” board game convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan named Grand Con. \u00a0Lots of new games were played, enjoyed, and even purchased. \u00a0October is not without it’s excitement either. \u00a0We will be starting our horror themed game month which we have several new games to bring to the table and enjoy.<\/p>\n

A few changes going forward to our game night and also to the monthly stats that I will be posting. \u00a0The amount of data is getting to be a bit overwhelming and I think is taking away from the overall concept of game night which is to be having fun. \u00a0I have paired down the amount of statistics this month and included a new one that is fast and simple to calculate which is each players gamer level. \u00a0This ranking is altered by your games played and games won. \u00a0I feel this is a great way to have players at a glance see who is the player to talk to if they have questions on a game when I’m not available. \u00a0Also in terms of game night itself I will be trying to bring in more lighting so we don’t have to shut down quite so early due to poor lighting.<\/p>\n
